bgbanana is an independent online toy store specializing in two product lines: character-driven party games and Asian-inspired sensory fidget toys. We are best known for our dumpling and baozi squishies — palm-sized slow-rebound stress toys shaped like the Chinese steamed buns you would find at a dim sum cart.
How bgbanana started
bgbanana started with one painfully quiet graduation party.
A few of us — friends from college — got together to celebrate finishing school. Everyone arrived. Drinks were poured. And then... silence. The kind of awkward, phone-checking, no-one-knows-what-to-say silence that ruins a room. We realized none of us actually knew how to break the ice without a screen to point at.
That night turned into a long conversation about what actually makes people loosen up around each other. We kept arriving at the same answer: it usually comes down to a small, slightly silly object. A working karaoke mic. A wearable pig snout. A soft toy someone can squish during a long pause. Things that don't require rules or talent — just somebody willing to look a little silly first.
So we started making them. The first batches were prototyped, photographed, and packed in a garage. The garage outgrew us. The product line grew up. bgbanana became what you see today — an independent toy and party game brand built around one idea: making it easier for a group of people to laugh together.
What we do

Our product lines
- Party games: Family-friendly, "you laugh, you lose" and karaoke-style games for ages 8 and up. Designed for game nights, holiday parties, classroom rewards, and group icebreakers.
- Sensory fidget toys: Dumpling, baozi, chick, and ice cream squishies made from non-toxic, BPA-free TPR. Slow-rebound texture suited to desk fidgeting, sensory toolkits (including ADHD- and autism-friendly use), party favors, and gifting.
